First Drop were awarded three silver medals - for each of the three
non-infused oils that we produce - the Koroneiki and J5 single cultivars and The Three Tuscans blend.
Hihi Olive Estate also picked up two silver medals in the competition - for their Koroneiki and J5 single cultivars.
LOS ANGELES
One of our First Drop partners, Hihi Olive Estate, received a gold medal and was judged 'best in class' in the New Zealand mono-cultivar class at the 2008 Los Angeles Extra Virgin Olive Oil Competition held each May.
The estate's olive oil was one of three oils to reach the gold standard in the class which attracted five entries from three New Zealand olive oil producers. The win
follows a gold medal in the 2008 competition.
First Drop also won a bronze medal in the New Zealand blends class of the competition for The Three Tuscans.
